Our Founder
Dr. Roland Kim, Ph.D., is a developmental theorist and trauma educator dedicated to helping caregivers understand the invisible forces shaping children’s behavior. His Five-Stage Empathic Parenting Model integrates psychology, attachment theory, and trauma awareness.
Founded by Roland Y. Kim, a mental health counselor, researcher, and educator, this movement seeks to shine a light on the childhood traumas that too often go unnoticed — and to educate the public, empower parents, and guide professionals toward a more trauma-informed society.
Through online courses, articles, speaking engagements, and a growing community of changemakers, we hope to:
-
- Make trauma awareness accessible to everyone — not just therapists.
-
- Help adults understand how their past still lives in their present.
-
- Equip parents with the emotional tools to break cycles and raise emotionally resilient children.
-
- Encourage leaders, educators, and caregivers to create psychological safety and empathy environments.
